Is my child experiencing gender dysphoria?
If you believe your kid is experiencing gender dysphoria, you should seek professional help. A kid must have a marked incongruence between their experienced and expressed gender and their given sex at birth, according to the DSM-5. This must endure at least for 6 months, and additional symptoms will include cross-dressing, a preference for cross-gender roles in imaginative play, and a preference for playmates of the opposite gender, among others.
