How often should I change my pad or tampon?
Different people have to change their pads at different times. If you have a heavy flow, you might find that your pad becomes full after just a few hours. You should always change your pad before it is completely full to avoid leaks, discomfort, or smell. Usually, changing your pad every 3 to 6 hours is adequate. Similarly, when you change your tampon depends on how heavy your flow is and what size tampon you are wearing. It is recommended that you don’t keep a tampon in for longer than 8 hours, as you can become at risk for developing toxic shock syndrome.
