Contraception
Can the withdrawal method be considered as contraception?
No. This is because when your penis is taken out of your partner's vagina before ejaculation, the sperm can still be released. Therefore there is still a chance of your partner getting pregnant. This type of method is not as effective as other birth control measures. It is estimated that one in every five couples who use the withdrawal approach for a year are likely to become pregnant.
